Frequently Asked Questions...
Do I have to sign a contract?
No, we don't have memberships or contracts at Spa Daze. You can pay as you go or purchase a package of sessions.
Do I have to take off all my clothes?
No, you will be asked by your Therapist to "disrobe to the level of your comfort". You can leave your underwear on, you can wear swimwear, athleticwear or you can choose to remove your clothing. You will be covered by a sheet during your treatment, private areas are NEVER exposed, and we work around areas that are covered to protect client boundaries.
Is it rude to fall asleep during a massage?
No, it's actually a sign of an effective treatment! It indicates that your nervous system is calming down and releasing beneficial endorphins.
Can I work with multiple Therapists or just one?
We actually encourage you to work with more than one Therapist for several reasons. Some clients enjoy different styles of work for different needs from deep/therapeutic to relaxation/energy work. Also, if you need an appointment on a day that your Therapist is out or on vacation, it's good to have a backup. Your care always comes first.
What if I can't relax?
We have a variety of modalities to choose from. If you're unable to relax during a massage, your Therapist may recommend a Reiki or CranioSacral treatment to help "unravel" your nervous system. It's not uncommon for some clients to feel the need to ease into the relaxation process.
What if my Therapist is not a good fit for me?
It happens, and it's ok! No one will take offense if you prefer a different style of work or personality. Your happiness and comfort is what we all strive for. Just let the desk know and we can discreetly match you up with someone else, and keep trying until you have found your perfect connection.
What happens if I pass gas?
You would be surprised how often this happens. When someone is laying on their stomach and a Therapist is pushing on their backs, it's not uncommon for gas to escape. Some people ignore it, some say "excuse me", some people are asleep and don't realize they've done it. The last thing we want is for someone to be embarrassed about it and let it ruin their experience. We suggest not eating a large or heavy meal before your appointment. But other than that, just let it go...
